Residency Programs: Inspiring the Artist in Every Child
Our residencies combine classical dance forms with creative movement, theater games, and an exploration of quality music and visual arts as they relate to dance. The curriculum emphasizes shape, level, color, and locomotor techniques, while also nurturing sensory awareness and building self-esteem—encouraging the development of each child and the artist within.
At Education In Dance, we believe the arts provide powerful opportunities to spark creativity, foster a positive self-image, and offer meaningful ways to interpret the world. Artistic expression is not a luxury, it is essential. Just as linguistic literacy is foundational, so too is aesthetic literacy.
When the Arts are woven into a child’s learning experience, families, educators, and schools fulfill their shared responsibility to educate the whole person. Our goal is to give students a balance in their lives so that they may be motivated, engaged, and enriched for a lifetime through early exposure to the arts.
